Follow The Corrupt Money Trail

I wrote NONE of this.

Donald Trump, Jared Kushner, and Ivanka are all about greed. The relentless pursuit of more and more wealth is their fundamental raison d’être. Kushner is under water with 666 Fifth Avenue and is desperate to avoid bankruptcy at any cost. It does not seem that difficult to assume that Russian banks would be eager to provide financing with many strings attached, just as they did with Trump. Putin must be licking his chops and salivating over the leverage he has on the Trump cartel. The guiding investigation principle never changes, follow the money.

Jared Kushner, a 36-year-old with no government experience, no public service, who’s admission to Harvard followed a multi-million dollar donation from dad, who was described as a C average student, who’s work experience is working for his Dad’s real estate business, and who’s worldview seems to be one of competition among winners and losers, cannot be a “senior” White House advisor. At best, he’s an intern, a novice or “junior.” But the reality is that he has no job-relevant knowledge or experience, so nepotism is the only reason he is in this job. He’s uninformed, unqualified, and untrustworthy.

Jared suffers from the same cognitive bias as his father-in-law: the Dunning-Kruger effect, whereby those of low ability adhere to an illusory superiority because they have overestimated their own cognitive ability. In other words, they are too dumb to realize how dumb they are, and money insulates them from having to confront the truth. The arrogant stupidity of both men is breathtaking. Jared is the one who paid double the going rate per square foot for 666 Fifth Avenue. Every time I read about either one of them I feel the need to take a shower and wash the sleaziness off.

The fact that a back channel was sought between the Oval Office and the Kremlin via a facility of the KGB by the President-Elect, the thing that astounds me most as an American is a continued support for the Trump Administration being provided by the GOP. One can only imagine the fallout generated by the Republican leadership if something even approaching the level of this subversive act had been revealed to have on been attempted during Barack Obama’s tenure.

Jared and Ivanka are two pampered children who have not grown out of the “dress up and pretend” phase of childhood. They dress up in Mommy’s high heels and Daddy’s suit and tie, pick up a briefcase, strike a pose and saunter out for another day of make-believe, as uninformed as any 5-year-old on matters of national and international importance. These are the two people who perhaps have the most influence on 45’s decisions. Follow the money from Trump’s Russian investment partners who lost big dollars on Trump projects that failed to go to completion. Russian oligarchs don’t just walk away from a few million, they expect payback in some form. What are the odds that this is about establishing channels to implement payback? I’d take that bet.

The bigger problem, obviously, is Trump, who put the likes of Flynn, Kushner, Sessions et al. in key positions in his administration. There were enough warnings about Flynn and he wound up in a key position. Kushner is Trump’s son-in-law and all that, but Trump, who supposedly knows something about real estate, should have known that Kushner paid well above market price for a building in Manhattan and has been trying to keep that afloat for a while. Not exactly a smart move.

If Kushner can’t even get a real estate deal right, despite his family’s involvement in that field for years, what made Trump think that Jared can help him with simple things, let alone matters such as Mideast peace, which has stymied seasoned professionals for decades. Kushner’s cozy relationship with the Chinese and his overtures to the Russians may have had more to do with his business interests that the country’s interests. Conflict of interest is more of a rule than an exception in the Trump administration, with the president himself mired in questionable deals. Nepotism adds to the problem.

Trump may make frequent proclamations that he is “‘like, a really smart person,” but he has been anything but that so far. His improvisational presidency is proof of that.

I keep noticing the Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell Bobble-Head dolls for sale on Amazon, and various other places. They serve to remind me of where the real stupidity lies. These two have it within their undeserved power to end this destruction and do so quickly. By their inaction, they are fully supporting this stunning attack on our democracy. They are diminishing our global reputation as a beacon of light in a darkening world. Supporting this spoiled man-child and his equally spoiled clan will not end well for either of them nor for our beloved country.

However, these Bobble- Heads keep sitting there doing virtually nothing but wagging their heads, smirking and grinning, pretending not to notice. Theirs is a blind spot so obvious that even the least informed can spot it. It’s called placing party before country for personal power and money.
