Former Congressman Tom Price was forced out as Secretary of Health and Human Services last September for spending thousands of taxpayers dollars on charter flights, and has repaid about $60,000 of that cost – but Trump counselor Kellyanne Conway, who tagged along on ten flights with Price, has gotten a free ride.
Congressman Elijah Cummings (D-MD), the ranking Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, wants to know why Conway has not been publicly chastised, repaid the cost of her travel, been fired or at least punished for doing the exact same thing that cost Price his job.

Papadopoulos told Mueller that Trump encouraged him to set up meeting with Putin
A new book by Yahoo News’ Michael Isikoff and Mother Jones’ David Corn being published today says that Donald Trump “personally encouraged” George Papadopoulos to arrange a summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin.1
If true, this stunning revelation contradicts the public views of what happened at an important meeting with Trump and his foreign policy team on March 31, 2016.
Papadopoulos — who Trump called a “coffee boy” — was actually a foreign policy adviser to the Trump campaign. After pleading guilty to lying to the FBI he has become a key cooperating witness in special counsekl Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation.
This different view of what Papadopoulos told federal investigators before the election was reported in “Russian Roulette: The Inside Story of Putin’s War on America and the Election of Donald Trump,” by Isikoff and Corn.

Trump fires Rex Tillerson, and picks CIA Director as his replacement
Mike Pompeo, Director of the CIA, will become our new Secretary of State. He will do a fantastic job! Thank you to Rex Tillerson for his service! Gina Haspel will become the new Director of the CIA, and the first woman so chosen. Congratulations to all!
…Tillerson and Trump have had a tempestuous relationship throughout the president’s tenure, with published reports, denied by the secretary of State, that he had referred to Trump as a “moron.” The reports prompted Trump to challenge his secretary of State to an IQ test.
It is now going to be a book.
I’ve had so much feedback, so many questions, and each led to more articles and ideas…so I’m going to combine the above into a combination of Introduction and Prologue as the Foundation for a book that will look at THE SIMPLICITY OF THE GOSPEL as applied to everyday life. I will look at subjects, topics that confront us DAILY…whether one realises it or not. I will keep it simple, and there will be practical ways for applying the Truth to our lives daily; and, lastly, there will be examples of how it’s been altered or abandoned altogether WITH the ensuing results thereof.
Let’s look at one of the most important ones: TRUTH V. LIES.
This is NOT PC. NOR do I want it to be.
This IS Morally and Biblically CORRECT- one of my main goals is to DESTROY the abomination of PC and MC, and place The Truth of God/The Bible back where it belongs: ON THE THRONE OF OUR HEARTS.
Why trust the Bible? Well, first, many people are not aware that most historians take the Bible, especially the New Testament, very seriously indeed. The Bible has been subjected to extremely vigorous literary and historical criticism, probably more than any other ancient work, and it’s emerged unscathed. Hans Kung put it nicely:
Lay people are usually unaware that the scrupulous scholarly work achieved by modern biblical criticism … represented by scrupulous academic work over about 300 years, belongs among the greatest intellectual achievements of the human race. Has any of the great world religions outside of the Jewish-Christian tradition investigated its own foundations and its own history so thoroughly and impartially? None of them has remotely approached this. The Bible is far and away the most studied book in world literature.
In other words, the Bible doesn’t need defending or protecting from historical criticism — Christians haven’t shut themselves off from academic questions — far from it. Indeed, as the 19th century Baptist preacher Charles Spurgeon once quipped: “Defend the Bible? I’d sooner defend a lion!”
When one approaches the Bible from a historical perspective, one can approach it much as one would any other ancient work. Broadly speaking, there are three tests a historian can utilise to determine the veracity of an ancient document. The bibliographic test, the internal test, and the external test. Let’s briefly look at each of these and how they apply to the Bible.
The Bibliographic Test
The bibliographic test looks at the ancient manuscripts of the Bible and asks whether the text of the Bible we have today is the same as the original? The simple answer is “yes”. There are thousands upon thousands of ancient manuscripts of the Bible, dating from the early second century down to the middle ages. When you compare what we have for the Bible with, say, what we have in terms of manuscripts for other important works of antiquity — Plato or Thucydides — it’s striking. For the Bible, we have 5,000 Greek manuscripts, hundreds of papyri, almost 350 Syriac copies (most dating to the 400s). On top of this, virtually the entire New Testament could be reproduced from quotations in the early church fathers; 32,000 such quotations exist before the Council of Nicaea in AD325, for example.
Many of these manuscripts are staggeringly early. For example, the John Rylands fragment (P52) dates to around AD120. Codex Sinaiticus dates to about 350AD and contains virtually all of the New Testament — I remember visiting the British Library a few years ago and staring at this beautiful object, just a few centimetres away from me behind a pane of glass. One felt that one was in touch with history.
Why are these manuscripts important? Because they enable us to be confident that the text of the Bible we have today is extremely accurate and close to the original. Historian and textual critic Ben Witherington has remarked that critical scholarship is about 99% certain of all of the New Testament text now — indeed, that we’re closer to the original text of the New Testament now than anytime since the first couple of centuries, so good is the scholarship.
The Internal Test
What about the historian’s second test, the internal test? This test asks whether we can determine whether the document we have before us was written by eyewitnesses. When it comes to the Bible, especially to the New Testament, things get very interesting.
First, we have multiple witnesses. Many people who are unfamiliar with the Bible tend to think of it as one book — but, of course, the Bible contains multiple books — it’s more like a library than a book. So, when we come to the New Testament, for example, we have multiple authors writing about the life of Jesus. Critical scholars would count at least six — Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Paul and probably also “Q”, a collection of sayings of Jesus that Matthew and Luke referred to.
Furthermore, these sources are all very early. Most scholars date the Gospels to the 60s, 70s and 80s AD, although some argue that Mark, especially, is much earlier. British New Testament scholar James Crossley — who, I’d note, is not a Christian — believes Mark was written in the late 30s or early 40s — that’s within a decade of Jesus. Another very early witness is Paul, who is writing his letters between AD48 and AD65, well within the lifetimes of the eyewitnesses. Why is this important?
Because one thing historians get very excited about is multiple attestation and early dating.
To return to the Gospels, though, for a moment. Not merely are they very early, but it’s now fairly universally accepted in critical scholarship that the Gospel writers were trying to write history; in terms of genre, the Gospels are biographies. The seminal work that demonstrated this was a book called What Are the Gospels? by Richard Burridge. Interestingly, Burridge set out to disprove that the gospels are biographies but the evidence caused him to change his mind. Historian David Aune sums up the implications of this:
[Bios, ancient biography] was firmly rooted in historical fact rather than literary fiction. Thus while the Evangelists clearly had an important theological agenda, the very fact that they chose to adapt Greco-Roman biographical conventions to tell the story of Jesus indicated that they were centrally concerned to communicate what they really thought happened.”
There’s a further point here, too. If one wants to reject the Gospels as history, then one is still left with the problem of explaining the early church. It had to come from somewhere and if Jesus’ life and career didn’t play out as the Gospels claim, one has to explain where. As German historian Martin Dibelius put it: you have to posit an X big enough to explain the Y of the early church. The best explanation remains that given in the Gospels: that Jesus existed and something very remarkable happened to him.
The External Test
Finally, there’s the external evidence for the Bible, in particular archaeology.Time and time again, archaeology has confirmed that the writers of the biblical texts knew what they were talking about. Along with the writings of non-Christian historians from the first century, men like the Jewish historian, Josephus, archaeology endorses the biblical text at many points. As Millar Burrows, former professor of archaeology at Yale wrote:
On the whole … archaeological work has unquestionably strengthened confidence in the reliability of the Scriptural record. More than one archaeologist has found his respect for the Bible increased by the experience of excavation in Palestine. Archaeology has in many cases refuted the views of modern critics.
Let me give you a few fascinating examples. First, two examples from Luke. In Acts 17:6-8, Luke uses the Greek word politarchs to describe the city officials in Thessalonica. That word doesn’t appear in classical Greek literature so for many years, critics accused Luke of making a mistake. Then archaeologists discovered a first-century arch in the town that used this very term — showing that the term was in use for government officials at the very time Luke was writing. It was a similar phenomena with Acts 18:12, where Luke uses the term “proconsul” to describe a gentleman called Gallio. That word didn’t appear either in classical literature so, again, scholars questioned Luke’s accuracy. Thenan inscription was found at Delphi, dating to AD51, using the same term — and amazingly, to describe the very same official, Gallio. Once again Luke was proven to be a very accurate historian.
It’s a similar story with the other Gospel writers. For example, in John 5:1-2, the fourth Gospel writer speaks of “a pool in Jerusalem, by the Sheep Gate, called in Hebrew ‘Bethesda’, which has five porticoes”. Until the 20th century, there was no evidence outside of John’s Gospel for such a place and, again, critics questioned John’s reliability. Then in the 1930s, the pool was uncovered by archaeologists — complete with four colonnades around the edges and one across the middle.
One more example will suffice and it’s perhaps the most intriguing — the so-called “James Ossuary”. According to the Gospels — and to the Jewish historian, Josephus, James was the brother of Jesus and was killed in AD 62. In 2002, a mid-first century bone box or ossuary was discovered in Jerusalem, bearing the Aramaic inscription “James, son of Joseph, brother of Jesus”. There is very strong evidence that the box and its inscription are authentic. Ed Keall, of the Royal Ontario Museum here in Toronto, has said “we stand by our opinion that the James Ossuary is not a forgery”. As New Testament historian Ben Witherington put it:
If, as seems probable, the ossuary found in the vicinity of Jerusalem and dated to about AD 63 is indeed the burial box of James, the brother of Jesus, this inscription is the most important extra-biblical evidence of its kind.
If we had more time, numerous other examples could be listed. The key point is this: archaeology doesn’t prove the New Testament is true. But what it does do is endorse the narratives. It shows that the biblical writings are historical and geographical in character — and thus deserve to be weighed and treated as seriously as an other texts from antiquity.
In the short time available to us, we’ve only been able to scratch the surface of what is a fascinating and rich area of study. But I hope in this brief survey I’ve been able to show that there are very good reasons to trust the Bible. And thus very good reasons to approach it with an open mind, willing to take what it says seriously and weigh its claims seriously.
So why read the Bible? Because from a historian’s perspective, we have good reason to trust it. Why read the Bible? Because only by reading it can you draw your own conclusions, rather than uncritically swallow somebody else’s second-hand-scepticism. Why read the Bible? Because through the pages of the four biographies in the New Testament, the gospels, one encounters a historical figure — Jesus of Nazareth — whose powerful personality continues to resonate and impact lives two thousand years on.
Per the great Christian apologist C. S. Lewis, “A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic — on a level with the man who says he is a poached egg — or else He would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God: or else a madman or something worse. You can shut Him up for a fool, you can spit at Him and kill Him as a demon; or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God. But let us not come with any patronising nonsense about His being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to.”
C.S. Lewis popularized this “Trilemma” argument, though it has earlier roots in the writings of Scottish Christian preacher “Rabbi” John Duncan, and Watchman Nee in his 1936 book, Normal Christian Faith. The 3-legged stool of this argument quickly gets to the heart of the matter: will we accept Jesus — or not?
Was Jesus a liar, lunatic — or Lord? Let’s look at each option.
~ Was Jesus a Liar? ~
If Jesus knew He was not God, then He was lying. But if he was a liar, then He also was a hypocrite, as He told others to be honest, whatever the cost.If that’s the case, then we can say that would make Jesus unspeakably evil, as He deliberately told others to forsake their religious beliefs and trust Him for their eternal destiny. Jewish religious leaders actually did charge Jesus with having a demon (John 8:48), which Scripture decidedly refutes. And if Jesus knew He was lying, then He was a fool, as His claims led to His crucifixion.
But would a liar teach his followers, as Jesus did throughout the Gospels, to adhere to a profoundly moral code? Could such a massive deceiver teach unselfish, ethical truths and live the morally exemplary life that Jesus did? The very notion is ridiculous.
John Stuart Mill, a philosopher, skeptic, and antagonist of Christianity, still admitted that Jesus was a first-rate ethicist supremely worthy of our attention and emulation:
“But about the life and sayings of Jesus there is a stamp of personal originality combined with profundity of insight….in the very first rank of men of sublime genius of whom our species can boast. When this pre-eminent genius is combined with the qualities of probably the greatest moral reformer, and martyr to that mission, who ever existed upon earth, religion cannot be said to have made a bad choice in pitching on this man as the ideal representative and guide of humanity; nor, even now, would it be easy, even for an unbeliever, to find a better translation of the rule of virtue from the abstract into the concrete, than to endeavor so to live that Christ would approve our life.”
To put that succinctly, Mills is saying that Jesus was a perfect example of all that He taught.
Let’s also consider this equally long statement by William Lecky, a noted Irish historian and dedicated opponent of organized Christianity, because it’s just so darn good:
“It was reserved for Christianity to present to the world an ideal character, which through all the changes of eighteen centuries has inspired the hearts of men with an impassioned love; has shown itself capable of acting on all ages, nations, temperaments, and conditions; has been not only the highest pattern of virtue but the strongest incentive to its practice; and has exercised so deep an influence that it may be truly said that the simple record of [Jesus’] three short years of active life has done more to regenerate and to soften mankind than all the disquisitions of philosophers, and all other exhortations of moralists.”
As church historian Philip Schaff adds, Jesus was a “character so original, so complete, so uniformly consistent, so perfect, so human and yet so high above all human greatness” who could be neither fraud nor fiction. Schaff adds that Jesus “never lost the even balance of His mind,” but “sailed serenely over all the troubles and persecutions, as the sun above the clouds, who always returned the wisest answer to tempting questions, who calmly and deliberately predicted His death on the cross.” I personally haven’t met any other human who lived up to Jesus’ behavior…have you?
In his book Cold-Case Christianity, cold-case homicide detective J. Warner Wallace lists these three decisive motives at the heart of any misbehavior: financial greed, sexual or relational desire, or power.
Jesus wasn’t interested in any of them. The New Testament writers tell us that He taught His disciples to give to the needy, and to not store up earthly treasures. And no evidence exists that Jesus was motivated by lust or relationships. The Gospels stress the respect that Jesus displayed toward women, including those who followed and supported His ministry. And rather than gain power for Himself, Jesus modeled serving others and giving without expectation of return, even to the wicked and ungrateful. He taught His disciples to do the same. If Jesus had been interested in personal power, He would have stepped into the political role people expected of Him. Instead, He shunned it.
~ Was Jesus a Lunatic? ~
So if Jesus wasn’t a liar, is it feasible that He mistakenly thought He was God? After all, one might be both sincere — but also sincerely wrong. Christian philosopher Peter Kreeft deftly shows why we must reject the option of Jesus being a lunatic:
“A measure of your insanity is the size of the gap between what you think you are and what you really are. If I think I am the greatest philosopher in America, I am only an arrogant fool; if I think I am Napoleon, I am probably over the edge; if I think I am a butterfly, I am fully embarked from the sunny shores of sanity. But if I think I am God, I am even more insane because the gap between anything finite and the infinite God is even greater than the gap between any two finite things, even a man and a butterfly. Well, then, why not liar or lunatic? But almost no one who has read the Gospels can honestly and seriously consider that option. The savviness, the canniness, the human wisdom, the attractiveness of Jesus emerge from the Gospels with an unavoidable force to any but the most hardened and prejudiced reader.”
“Jesus has in abundance precisely those three qualities which liars and lunatics most conspicuously lack: (1) His practical wisdom, His ability to read human hearts …. (2) His deep and winning love, His passionate compassion, His ability to attract people and make them feel at home and forgiven, His authority; and above all (3) His ability to astonish, His unpredictability, His creativity. Liars and lunatics are all so dull and predictable! No one who knows the Gospels and human beings can seriously entertain the possibility that Jesus was a liar or a lunatic, a bad man.”
The idea that Jesus was self-deceived or delusional is simply not compatible with the impression He has left on history. So viewing Jesus as a lunatic is our second ridiculous option.
~ Is Jesus Lord? ~
In the first century, when people were given a number of answers about Jesus’ identity, Jesus asked His disciples, “Who do you say that I am?”Peter responded, “You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God (Matthew 16:15-16). Like Peter, we can decide to believe that Jesus made truthful claims about being God — and then accept or reject Him as our personal Savior.
Yes, Jesus was put to death by the Romans. But was that the end of the movement that He launched three years earlier? We have to shout a resounding “No!”, if the millions who call Him “Lord” are to be counted. Jesus stands head-and-shoulders above all other self-proclaimed “saviors,” because He is clearly at work among His people. His presence is palpable, when His people draw near. He is still answering our prayers (even when the answer is no!), and guiding us.
God’s Word tells us that we each must choose for ourselves whether or not to believe that Jesus is Lord. Can the Bible prove that Jesus is God? No. But we can take heart that archeological discoveries continue to prove its legitimacy as a truthful document. The Bible does clearly show us that Jesus, as a proven historical figure, was amazing in the way He demonstrated love. He gave all credit to God the Father, with whom He said He was equal. As the apostle John wrote in the New Testament, “these are written that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name” (John 20:31).
So we are left with two ridiculous options — and one that must be given weight as entirely possible. Historians disagree with this, of course, saying that faith can’t be used as a measure of proving truth. Really? Sometimes I feel very sad for people who refuse to consider options, simply because they can’t see or feel them for themselves. Faith, it seems to me, identifies the real risk takers among us. And definitely the wisest. 😉
We cannot put Jesus on the shelf as a great moral teacher; evidence strongly favors Jesus being so much more.
EXTERNAL PROOFS FOR THE VERACITY OF GOD’S WORD, THE BIBLE
We’ve already read what three of the greatest minds and apologists have said, let’s now conclude with this:
EVERY PERSON MENTIONED IN THE BIBLE HAS BEEN CONFIRMED VIA HISTORY AND ARCHEOLOGY.
EVERY PLACE MENTIONED IN THE BIBLE HAS BEEN FOUND, WE EVEN KNOW THE GENERAL LOCATION FOR THE GARDEN OF EDEN, WHICH IS SAID TO BE BETWEEN THE TIGRIS AND EUPHRATES RIVERS.
EVERY EVENT THAT THE BIBLE MENTIONS HAS BEEN DUG UP AND PROVEN BY ARCHEOLOGISTS. SODOM AND GOMORRAH? PILLARS OF SALT, SULFUR, AND BRIMSTONE ARE FOUND WHERE THE BIBLE SAYS THEY ONCE WERE. MOSES CROSSING THE RED SEA WITH PHARAOH CHASING? EGYPTIAN CHARIOTS, ARMOR, AND WEAPONS HAVE BEEN FOUND WHERE THE BIBLE SAYS MOSES CROSSED THE RED SEA…IN THE RED SEA.
There are over 330 prophecies in the Old Testament regarding The Messiah. The oldest dates back some 6,000 years to the Garden of Eden, the “newest” is from at least 400 years before Christ Jesus left Heaven for a manger in Bethlehem. Of the over 330 Old Testament prophecies of The Messiah Jesus fulfills them ALL! For this to be “just an accident/coincidence” requires MORE FAITH than to believe that The Bible IS indeed God’s Word, AND that The Lord Jesus Christ IS who The Bible says HE IS: The Son of God, The Messiah, The Great I Am, The Alpha and Omega, Almighty God, and Everlasting Father. We Have Covered Quite Adequately What and WHO Truth Is…so…what is a Lie?
Anything that is NOT Truth is a lie.
A partial “truth” is a WHOLE LIE.
Adding to, subtracting from, or in any way altering The Truth IS A LIE.

As Christians we must needs study The True, aka The Bible, so that we KNOW THE TRUE so well that ANYTHING ELSE IS RECOGNISED AS THE LIE IT IS.
Jesus said to KNOW THE TRUTH, John 8:31, 32.
Jesus said that by our KNOWING THE TRUE we WILL KNOW THEM BY THEIR FRUITS.

9 Now when these things were done, the princes came to me, saying, The people of Israel, and the priests, and the Levites, have not separated themselves from the people of the lands, doing according to their abominations, even of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites.
2 For they have taken of their daughters for themselves, and for their sons: so that the holy seed have mingled themselves with the people of those lands: yea, the hand of the princes and rulers hath been chief in this trespass.
3 And when I heard this thing, I rent my garment and my mantle, and plucked off the hair of my head and of my beard, and sat down astonied.
4 Then were assembled unto me every one that trembled at the words of the God of Israel, because of the transgression of those that had been carried away; and I sat astonied until the evening sacrifice.
5 And at the evening sacrifice I arose up from my heaviness; and having rent my garment and my mantle, I fell upon my knees, and spread out my hands unto the Lord my God,
6 And said, O my God, I am ashamed and blush to lift up my face to thee, my God: for our iniquities are increased over our head, and our trespass is grown up unto the heavens.
7 Since the days of our fathers have we been in a great trespass unto this day; and for our iniquities have we, our kings, and our priests, been delivered into the hand of the kings of the lands, to the sword, to captivity, and to a spoil, and to confusion of face, as it is this day.
8 And now for a little space grace hath been shewed from the Lord our God, to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a nail in his holy place, that our God may lighten our eyes, and give us a little reviving in our bondage.
9 For we were bondmen; yet our God hath not forsaken us in our bondage, but hath extended mercy unto us in the sight of the kings of Persia, to give us a reviving, to set up the house of our God, and to repair the desolations thereof, and to give us a wall in Judah and in Jerusalem.
10 And now, O our God, what shall we say after this? for we have forsaken thy commandments,
11 Which thou hast commanded by thy servants the prophets, saying, The land, unto which ye go to possess it, is an unclean land with the filthiness of the people of the lands, with their abominations, which have filled it from one end to another with their uncleanness.
12 Now therefore give not your daughters unto their sons, neither take their daughters unto your sons, nor seek their peace or their wealth for ever: that ye may be strong, and eat the good of the land, and leave it for an inheritance to your children for ever.
13 And after all that is come upon us for our evil deeds, and for our great trespass, seeing that thou our God hast punished us less than our iniquities deserve, and hast given us such deliverance as this;
14 Should we again break thy commandments, and join in affinity with the people of these abominations?wouldest not thou be angry with us till thou hadst consumed us, so that there should be no remnant nor escaping?
15 O Lord God of Israel, thou art righteous: for we remain yet escaped, as it is this day: behold, we are before thee in our trespasses: for we cannot stand before thee because of this.
King James Version (KJV)
10 Now when Ezra had prayed, and when he had confessed, weeping and casting himself down before the house of God, there assembled unto him out of Israel a very great congregation of men and women and children: for the people wept very sore.
2 And Shechaniah the son of Jehiel, one of the sons of Elam, answered and said unto Ezra, We have trespassed against our God, and have taken strange wives of the people of the land: yet now there is hope in Israel concerning this thing.
3Now therefore let us make a covenant with our God to put away all the wives, and such as are born of them, according to the counsel of my lord, and of those that tremble at the commandment of our God; and let it be done according to the law.
In Part 1 of “The Paganization of Christianity” I showed and confirmed the ways the Blood Bought Church of The Lord Jesus Christ has INDEED been PAGANIZED, dealt with and defined SOLELY by God’s Word, The Holy Bible, and then offered the ONLY remedy for such paganism: FULL REPENTANCE, II Chronicles 7:14-22; Isaiah 1:2-24; Luke 13:1-5; Luke 17:3; I Corinthians 5; II Corinthians 6:14-7:1; Matthew 18:15-17; and Revelation chpts. 2 and 3.
In Part 2 we will examine the 2-Pronged attack of Satan that brought the Glorious Church, without spot, blemish, or wrinkle, or any such thing to the festering place of whorish repugnance we have today, EPHESIANS 5:27.
To begin, let me set forth that since Lucifer, who through his rebellion in Heaven is also Satan, The Devil, The Dragon of The Bottomless Pit/Hell, has ALWAYS offered a counterfeit to God, God’s Word, and God’s Worship/Music…ALWAYS, Isaiah 14:11-16; Ezekiel 28:11-18; Revelation 12.
So we have The Holy Lord God, THE Creator, THE Originator, THE TRUE Master of ALL Creation on the one side. God created EVERYTHING. Created the angels with the will to choose even. Two thirds chose to FOREVER follow God. One third chose to follow another, lowly created angel, who wanted to usurp, steal, and supplant The Lord God, and take THE Throne for himself. From that point to this very moment we are all offered TWO WAYS from TWO MASTERS, Matthew 6: 24; Genesis chpt. 3.
When The Lord God created man man (mankind: Adam and Eve) God created them perfect, as mature adults, were to never die, get sick, or age, and in HIS OWN image and likeness. Then God gave man authority over ALL creation to subdue and have dominion over it, Genesis 1:26-32; Genesis 2: 20. When we examine what ALL this means we find that man was:
HAD PERFECT INTELLIGENCE, UNDERSTANDING, AND WISDOM
HAD PERFECT EMOTIONS AND DESIRES
WAS MATURE PHYSICALLY, MENTALLY, EMOTIONALLY, SPIRITUALLY
WAS 2ND ONLY TO GOD IN AUTHORITY OVER ALL CREATION
WAS CREATED IN THE EXACT, PERFECT IMAGE AND LIKENESS OF GOD HIMSELF
So what was there for Satan to offer?
The LIE that THEY were NOT what God said they were, and the ONLY way to become that was to listen to, and follow him/Satan.
THAT has been the S.O.P. of Satan from the beginning. LIES. Via lies:
QUESTION GOD AND GOD’S WORD
SUPPLANT GOD AND GOD’S WORD
ALTER AND THE REPLACE GOD AND GOD’S WORD
ALTER AND REPLACE GOD AND GOD’S PROMISES
ALL TO THE END THAT SATAN ALTER AND REPLACES THE LORD GOD AS THE RIGHTFUL FOCUS AND CENTER OF WORSHIP
AND PUTS HIMSELF- SATAN- IN THE PLACE OF GOD.
SAME GOES FOR MEN, GOD IS NO RESPECTER OF PERSONS.
FAST FORWARD TO THE 1870’S
God KNEW what lay before mankind in the then upcoming century, WWI, WWII, The Cold War with Korea, Vietnam, Grenada, Iraq twice…
So, God in HIS infinite and perfect knowledge and wisdom poured out The Holy Spirit upon a then hungering, thirsting, and seeking church.
The Results were massive revivals that broke out in Topeka, Azuza, Hot Springs, Cleveland, Chicago, New York, Cain’s Ridge, Oklahoma, St. Louis… These revivals impacted not just all of America, but the world. Missionaries, evangelists, pastors, teachers, men and women of God went forth around the world and impacted it for The Lord Jesus Christ. Millions upon millions were saved.
Things that each of these revivals shared:
A DEEP, SINCERE HUNGER, THIRST, AND SEEKING FOR GOD
DEVOTION TO SINCERE PRAYER AND FASTING
ROOTED SOLELY IN AND FOUNDED SOLELY UPON GOD’S WORD, THE BIBLE
IT WAS NOT HYPE: PEOPLE WERE TRULY SAVED AS EVIDENCED BY CHANGED LIVES, CHANGED MORALS, CHANGED DRESS, CHANGED BEHAVIOUR, CHANGED MUSIC/WORSHIP
THEY WERE ALL CHRIST-CENTERED, SIN-HATING, GOD-HONORING, BIBLE-BASED, LIFE-TRANSFORMING REVIVALS THAT IMPACTED AND CHANGED THE COMMUNITY, STATE, NATION, AND WORLD.
God confirmed HIS Word with signs and wonders following, Mark 16:14-20. The blind saw, the deaf heard, the lame walked, cancers removed, demons cast out, and the dead raised. Countless millions upon millions were saved by the grace of Almighty God.
Sooo, what happened?
A 2-PRONGED ATTACK OF SATAN: PRONG 1, CHANGE THE MESSAGE/DOCTRINE.
Satan began his 2-Pronged attack back in the 1870’s as well. Satan subtily invaded America’s colleges. Began the Liberalization of the clergy, counselors, lawyers, judges, doctors, and science. As these Liberalized leaders then went to places of authority in their respective fields those they taught and mentored became more Liberalized. This kept increasing until many forsook The Truth of The Biblical Gospel for a cheap, religious counterfeit. The names and titles of these substitutes for true Christianity were/are:

The Laughing Revival
Hillsong…and many more counterfeit movements.
What do each of these have in common?
A watering down, altering, sugar coating, and replacing of God’s Word
A watering down of Biblical holiness, separation for sin and worldliness
A lack of focus on prayer, fasting, and seeking The Lord in Humility substituted with doing so to be blessed and write your own ticket with God
A forsaking of God, Holy Ghost inspired music and worship for a “form of godliness” that 100% mimics the world and is inspired/anointed by a spirit of rebellion
An tolerance, then acceptance, then embracing, and now promoting of immodest dress, impure behaviour, and utter, depraved morality.
THAT WAS PRONG 1, HERE IS PRONG 2, VIA THE ARTS, PRIMARILY MUSIC/WORSHIP.
I will present a timeline of HOW Satan changed music/worship first, THEN present a list of articles and their links for support and background. First the Time-Line:
Satan began supplanting the arts (painting, sculpture, literature, music) back in Biblical days, we will remain focused primarily upon 1949 onward, and on music
In the early 1950’s a Pastor of a large Protestant church in Canada had an evangelist whose calling and anointing was primarily on Deliverance and exposing current events, trends and fads. During the revival the pastor’s 15 year old daughter who had recently began listening to the rock-n-roll of that era threw herself on the floor and began to writhe as a snake during the worship service. The evangelist began to rebuke the demonic spirit to no avail, so he excused himself, went into the pastor’s study, and sought God prayerfully for the name of such a powerful demonic spirit. God said the Demon was a Prince over a Principality named Rebellion. The evangelist goes back out to the service, the pastor, pastor’s wife, and others are around the tormented, writhing 15 year old girl praying and sobbing. The evangelist steps through, approaches the demon possessed girl and commands it to reveal itself through The NAME of Jesus, by The BLOOD of Jesus, and upon the authority of God’s Word, The Holy Bible for it’s true name and nature: The Demonic Prince inhabiting the little girl shrieked and cried, “I am REBELLION! And I have come down through the music to inhabit and occupy generations of youth!” The evangelist, pastor and all gathered began to rebuke this Demonic Prince by it’s name: Rebellion. And by the power and authority of The NAME of Jesus, The BLOOD of Jesus, and the Word of God the evil spirit came out and LEFT. The girl was freed, and then genuinely gave her heart to The Lord Jesus Christ unto salvation. THIS was in the early 1950’s! Consider how “tame” the music was then compared to now. BUT THAT is the problem with The Church! We compare one evil thing with another evil thing, we compare one worldly thing with another worldly thing…and say, “Well, this doesn’t seem as bad as this, so we’ll accept and do this evil/worldly thing, but not this one.” BOTH ARE EVIL AND WORLDLY. BOTH ARE TO BE UTTERLY FORSAKEN, Luke 9:23; II Corinthians 6:14-7:1.
So that we all have THE SAME understanding of just WHAT IS rock music/the music of rebellion, here is a list of the various types of rock music: Rock, Pop Rock, Bubble Gum Rock, Malt Shoppe/Doo-Wop Rock, Blues Rock, Southern Rock, Country Rock, Rock-a-Billy, Surf Rock, Latin Rock, Hard Rock, Arena Rock, Anthem Rock, Heavy Metal, Classic Metal, Glam Rock, Glam Metal, Soft Rock, Folk Rock, Industrial Rock, , Acid Rock, Shock Rock, Death Metal, Speed Metal, Thrash Rock, Satan Metal, Electonica Rock, Disco/Dance Rock, Funk Rock, Roots Rock, Psychedelic Rock, Power Pop Rock, Experimental Rock, Heartland Rock, Christian Rock, Jesus Music/Rock, Contemporary Rock, Contemporary Christian Rock, Nu metal, Post Metal, Boogie Rock, Space Rock, Rap Rock, Garage Rock, Instrumental Rock, British Folk/Celtic Rock, Swamp Rock, Proto Punk Rock, Death Rock, Reggae Rock, Jersey Shore Rock…SOURCE .
In the mid 1960’s a Christian convert from paganism in Africa, who had been a witch doctor, came to America to visit. While here he attended a so-called Christian concert that used the rock of the ’60’s as their music of choice. He jumps up and begins to scream, “WHY are you using the music of devils, the demonic music I was saved OUT OF as worship for the Almighty, Thrice Holy God?!!”
There are many more sources, many more eye-witness testimonies from 100 Huntley Street, to PTL (when they still focused on the true Gospel), to Jimmy Swaggart’s books and preaching (before his fall), to Bob Larson, to Leonard Ravenhill, A.W, Tozer, to David Wilkerson, to Dr. Al Metsker. The eye-witness accounts are endless, along with my own eye-witness accounts of personally being immersed in rock music for 42 years.
WHAT HAS THIS 2-PRONGED ATTACK OF HELL ACHIEVED?
We’ve gone FROM what was once thundered against in the pews NOW filling the Pulpit, choir, worship team, teachers and leadership in the “church”. Things that God and HIS Ministers preached and taught AGAINST now fill the church from pulpit to pew, such abominations as:
MEN WITH PIERCED EARS/EAR-RINGS
MEN AND WOMEN ALL TATTED UP AND WITH MULTIPLE BODY PIERCINGS
IMMODEST, IMMORAL DRESS FROM PLATFORM TO PEW: MINI SKIRTS, SHORTS (EVEN SHORT-SHORTS), SLITS AND PLUNGES IN CLOTHING, SKIN TIGHT CLOTHING…AND WORSE…
ADULTERY, FORNICATION, SODOMY/HOMOSEXUALITY/LESBIANISM, PEDOPHILIA, AND EVEN INCEST IN THE CHURCH, EVEN AMONG “MINISTERS”
GAMBLING, DRINKING, AND DANCING IN THE CHURCH AND CHURCH SANCTIONED ACTIVITIES
“CHRISTIANS” SMOKING, DRINKING, CURSING, AND CAROUSING JUST LIKE THE UNREGENERATE SINNER
THE EMBRACING OF SECULAR, WORLDLY MUSIC IN SO-CALLED “CHRISTIANS” LIVES, EVEN IN THE CHURCH
OPEN FLIRTATION AND SEDUCING TAKING PLACE AMONG “CHRISTIANS”, EVEN IN THE CHURCH
LYING, RUMOR SPREADING, GOSSIP TELLING, AND TALE BEARING TAKING PLACE AMONG “CHRISTIANS”, EVEN IN THE CHURCH, EVEN IN THE SANCTUARY
The following are actual, factual , very real accounts of “churches” that I’ve been to over my 59″+” years, these are sad, depraved accounts, but, heart-renderingly true:
In one “church” my dad pastored back in the ’60’s to early ’70’s among the church folk was smoking, drinking, cursing, adultery, fornication, worldly, secular music IN the church. My dad preached and taught against it, but like Jeremiah, was met by a stiff necked, heard hearted, rebellious people. The choir director’s daughter was sleeping around with the youth pastor, the piano player was pregnant out of wedlock, many others were involved in adultery and fornication
At a “church” I attended in the mid to late ’80’s (I got saved in August of 1976) there were 41 adulterous, fornicative, incestuous, and even homosexual affairs taking place IN THE LEADERSHIP of the church and in the pews! 41! No altar call given by the “pastor” in 18 months…NONE!
At another “church” I attended in the ’90’s there also was adultery, fornication, homosexuality, occult/Satanism, smoking, drinking, cursing, gambling, lying, backstabbing, rumor spreading, again, among the so-called leaders! They would BRAG about how at a CHRISTIAN COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY they attended to supposedly prepare for the Ministry (!!!), that the women would deliberately dress as PROSTITUTES on their dates (their own words), and were sex addicts!
Again, I can share more accounts, but choose not to.
Two things people bring up when they hear these things:
IF The church is so corrupt and depraved, so full of hypocrites, WHY even go to church? BECAUSE JESUS went. Jesus was faithful to the regular, customary attendance to the synagogue and temple. Jesus went when they were filled with hypocrites as leaders. Jesus went when there were demon-possessed people present…and cast the demons out. So, Jesus went, we are commanded to NOT forsake the assembling of ourselves together;
NOT every church has rampant sin in it. Many good, solid, Biblical churches I’ve been to expose and Biblically discipline the transgressors, even excommunicate them according to Scripture, Matthew 18:15-17, Luke 17:3; I Corinthians 5.
Lastly, I will now post links to articles to support and fill out what I’ve written:
Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) said Sunday that President Trump‘s former personal attorney allegedly lying to a congressional committee is a “big mistake” and he’s glad special counsel Robert Mueller is taking it “seriously.”
“I certainly do think that lying to the [Senate] Intelligence Committee, which I am a part of, is a big mistake for whoever does it and creates lots of problems for the committee itself,” Blunt told “Fox News Sunday,” adding that one lie can throw off an entire investigation and waste hours of work. The Senate Intelligence Committee has investigated Russian interference in the 2016 election.
“I’m glad to see the special prosecutor seeing that particular crime seriously,” he added.
Robert Mueller Is No Match for Fox News
The evidence from the special counsel’s investigation is already damning, but it must contend with a haze of lies, confusion and “alternative facts.”

After a period of quiet, the special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation is seizing headlines yet again. In the past week, we learned that Paul Manafort, Donald Trump’s former campaign chairman, broke the terms of his cooperation agreement by lying to Mr. Mueller’s investigators, all while his lawyer was briefing Mr. Trump’s legal team on what Mr. Manafort told the special counsel. The conservative author Jerome Corsi, facing possible indictment, made public a potential draft plea agreement with Mr. Mueller that contains incendiary allegations of attempted coordination between Mr. Corsi and the Trump campaign adviser Roger Stone with WikiLeaks.
We also learned that Mr. Mueller had reached a plea agreement with Michael Cohen, Mr. Trump’s former lawyer, for lying to Congress about the Trump Organization’s plans to construct a property in Moscow — plans that extended into the 2016 campaign and reportedly involved an effort to give Vladimir Putin the gift of a $50 million penthouse apartment.
[NOTE: SOME MAY HAVE FORGOTTEN ABOUT THE TRUMP DEFENSE OF “ALTERNATIVE FACTS”, HERE’S A REFRESHER COURSE.]
“Alternative facts” was a phrase used by U.S. Counselor to the President Kellyanne Conway during a Meet the Press interview on January 22, 2017, in which she defended White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer’s false statement about the attendance numbers of Donald Trump’s inauguration as President of the United States.
George Papadopoulos, campaign adviser. Claims made in FBI interview. Admitted guilt on Oct. 5, 2017.
Claim 1: Claimed to have met Maltese professor Joseph Mifsud and learned that Russia had incriminating emails related to Hillary Clinton prior to his joining the campaign.
Truth: Mifsud became interested in Papadopoulos only when he learned about the American’s role with the Trump campaign. The information about the emails came a month after Papadopoulos was named as adviser.
Claim 2: Claimed that Mifsud was no one of importance.
Truth: Papadopoulos knew that Mifsud had connections to Russian government officials and tried to leverage them to set up a meeting between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Claim 3: Claimed that his interactions with a Russian national were innocuous and that he met her before joining the campaign.
Truth: He met her after joining the campaign and tried to use her to set up the same meeting.
Result: Currently serving time in prison.
Michael Flynn, former national security adviser. Claims made in FBI interview. Admitted guilt on Dec. 1, 2017.
Claim 1: Said he did not ask then-Russian Ambassador Sergei Kislyak not to retaliate for Obama administration sanctions. Claimed not to remember a follow-up conversation.
Truth: In December 2016, Kislyak called Flynn, who then called the Trump transition team before replying with a request not to retaliate. Kislyak called Flynn at the end of the month to credit that request for the lack of Russian response.
Claim 2: Stated that he did not ask countries to take a particular position on a United Nations vote related to Israel. Claimed that Kislyak had not told him how Russia planned to vote.
Truth: Both of those things happened.
Result: Awaiting sentencing.
Alex van der Zwaan, lawyer working with Rick Gates and Paul Manafort. Claims made in FBI interview. Admitted guilt on Feb. 20, 2018.
Claim: Said he had not communicated with Gates since August 2016 or Manafort aide Konstantin Kilimnik since 2014. Claimed not to know why an email exchange with Kilimnik was not given to Mueller’s team.
Truth: Van der Zwaan spoke with both Gates and Kilimnik in September 2016 and he deleted the email in question.
Result: Served a brief prison sentence. Deported.
Rick Gates, deputy campaign chairman. Claims made in FBI interview. Admitted guilt on Feb. 23, 2018.
Claim: Claimed that he was told that a 2013 meeting attended by Manafort did not include a discussion of Ukraine.
Truth: It did.
Result: Cooperating with Mueller probe.
Michael Cohen, personal attorney to Trump. Claims made in congressional testimony. Admitted on Nov. 29, 2018.
Claim 1: Said that discussions about a proposed Trump-branded project in Moscow had ended before the first voting in the presidential primaries.
Truth: The discussions continued until June 2016.
Claim 2: Claimed he never planned to travel to Russia or asked Trump to go.
Truth: Both were under consideration as late as May 2016. Cohen planned to go before the Republican convention, with Trump going after.
Claim 3: Said he did not remember any conversation with a Russian government official after he reached out to Russian Putin’s office for assistance.
Truth: Had a 20-minute conversation with Putin’s press secretary’s assistant in January 2016.
Result: Cooperating with Mueller probe.
Charges dropped following plea agreements
Paul Manafort and Rick Gates, senior campaign staff. Claims made in interviews with Mueller’s team. Charges first filed on Oct. 30, 2017, and included in later superseding indictments before being dropped.
Claim 1: Claimed that their work for Ukraine’s Party of Regions did not extend into the United States.
Claim 2: Said that neither was contracted to do work for a pro-Ukraine organization called the European Centre for a Modern Ukraine but instead pointed the group to other U.S. lobbyists.
Claim 3: Stated that a search for more email communications pertinent to the government investigation was hampered by a retention policy that led to their deletion.
Truth: The statements of offense accompanying Gates’s and Manafort’s plea agreements articulate that each of the above is untrue.
Result: Cooperating with Mueller probe.
LASTLY, A MAN BEING EXCORIATED BY TRUMP & Co. AND THE STATE COMPLIANT “MEDIA”, FOX “NEWS”-
Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) said Friday that he believes legislation protecting special counsel Robert Mueller could pass the Senate, if Republican leadership would agree to bring it up for a vote.
“I do believe the votes are there on the floor if we can just get a vote, and that’s what I’m calling, let’s just have a vote,” Flake told CNN, asked about a measure that would protect Mueller from being fired without good cause.
The legislation — crafted by Sens. Cory Booker (D-N.J.), Christopher Coons (D-Del.), Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) and Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) — has languished for months after it passed out the Judiciary Committee. Republican leadership argues it isn’t necessary because President Trump, they believe, will not try to interfere with or fire Mueller.
